HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2015-06Suggested by: Administration CITY OF KENAI RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -06 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, DECLARING THE 1984 KULMAN SHAKER PLANT TO BE SURPLUS OR OBSOLETE, AND TO BE SOLD AS PROVIDED IN KENAI MUNICIPAL CODE 7.15.060. WHEREAS, the 1984 Kulman Shaker plant, is damaged and it is not cost effective to repair it; and, WHEREAS, Kenai Municipal Code 7.15.060 allows the sale of surplus or obsolete equipment, supplies, and materials by auction, competitive sealed bid or an internet sales process; and, WHEREAS, a competitive sealed bid auction or internet sales process are reasonable and acceptable means of disposal of surplus and obsolete city property; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, the 1984 Kulman Shaker Plant to be declared obsolete, and the item sold as provided in KMC 7.15.060. In consideration of both repair costs and the age of the metal, it is not practical nor financially equitable to attempt a repair. My recommendation is to surplus the Airport shaker plant and attempt a sale of the machine. If you have any questions, please contact me. Attachment www.kenaiairport.com.
