ORDINANCE NO. 2818 -2015
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF K AI, ALASKA,
APPROPRIATING AIRPORT FUNDS FOR AIRPORT APRON IMPRQVEMENTS AND
IMPROVEMENTS TO UTILITIES SERVING AN AIRPORT LEASE LOT
WHEREAS, A lease lot on the Airport is being developed to,6onstruct an air -side
support facility; and,
WHEREAS, the area of the lease lot and adjacent Airport nds had in the past been
utilized as a borrow source and waste disposal area
WHEREAS, the additional work performed as a rey1being unforeseen conditions on the
lease lot resulted in the lease credits for the lease extended from 5 years to
10 years; and,
WHEREAS, there was additional work requireSto reconstruct a portion of a taxiway
and to install a new sewer service to the lease tot, both wholly on Airport lands; and,
WHEREAS, additional costs to the veloper for taxiway reconstruction and
installation of a new sewer service cone tion are not included in future lease credits;
and,
WHEREAS, additional costs for wo/related to Airport property and improvements:
1. Construction of news er service connection $ 13,000
2. Reconstruction of t 'way shoulder and subgrade $ 10,000
materials
NOW, THEREFORE, BE T ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA:
Section 1. Form. TXat this is a non -code ordinance.
Section 2. Thal` estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as follows:

Section 3. That pursuant to KM 1.15.0700 this Ordinance shall take effect upon
enactment.

SUBJECT: Ordinance 2818 -2015
The purpose of this correspondence is to request that Council postpone the above referenced
Ordinance indefinitely.
When introduced I believed that I would have sufficient information to request that this action
be considered by Council.
At this time, I do not have the information to move forward, and it appears that if this is
brought before Council at a later date, the action to be considered would be significantly
different than what is requested in the proposed ordinance 2818 -2015.
