The City of Kenai and many of our residents have been working together to provide similar park improvements for our younger residents through equipment upgrades and expansions of our existing playgrounds. It is our goal to provide a safe and exciting place that will encourage and inspire healthy exercise as well as provide a community gathering place. Equipment that makes exercise fun will help to encourage this goal. Last year, the City installed three new features to the Municipal Park and is now seeking funding to complete Kenai’s Enchanted Forest. The playground will be designed in forest colors to blend with the surrounding area. We also hope to add Alaska forest animals that will attract the children’s interest in our natural wildlife. We would ask your consideration in helping with this goal by making a financial contribution which will help purchase new equipment, or consider donating an appropriate piece. Donations may be made to either the City of Kenai or Kenai Community Foundation. I have included information on the foundation for your review and would happily meet with you to answer any questions. Your donation will be acknowledged on signage within the park.
