MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Porter called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Porter led those assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Roll Call
There were present:
Pat Porter, Mayor Bob Molloy
Mike Boyle Henry Knackstedt
Tim Navarre Brian Gabriel
comprising a quorum of the Council.
Also in attendance were:
Rick Koch, City Manager
Terry Eubank, Acting City Manager
Scott Bloom, City Attorney
Sandra Modigh, City Clerk
3. Agenda Approval
MOTION:
Council Member Bookey MOVED to approve the agenda as presented and requested
UNANIMOUS CONSENT. Vice Mayor Gabriel SECONDED the motion.
There being no objections, SO ORDERED.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Fred Braun, representative of Jack White Real Estate, advise that the buyer he was
representing was a cash buyer looking for a quick sale and closing. Mr. Braun wasn't at
liberty to discuss the buyer's plans for the bowling alley; however, noted he had a
motivated buyer.

City Attorney Bloom advised that another offer was received by the City late in the
afternoon.
Braun further noted that the buyer is pursing many options for the property that would
benefit the City.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
1. Offer to Purchase Property Located at 10639 Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai AK
99611. [AS 44.62.310(c)(1)(3) a matter of which the immediate knowledge may
have an adverse effect upon the finances of the City, and a matter by which
law, municipal charter, or ordinance are required to be confidential.]
MOTION:
Vice Mayor Gabriel MOVED to convene in executive session to discuss an offer to
purchase property located at 10639 Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai AK 99611. [AS
44.62.310(c)(1)(3) a matter of which the immediate knowledge may have an adverse
effect upon the finances of the City, and a matter by which law, municipal charter, or
ordinance are required to be confidential.] Council Member Knackstedt SECONDED the
motion and requested the City Attorney be available.
VOTE:
YEA: Knackstedt, Bookey, Porter, Molloy, Boyle, Navarre, Gabriel
NAY:
MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
Council reconvened in open session and Vice Mayor Gabriel advised that Council and
Administration discussed offers to purchase City property and provided direction to the
City Manager and City Attorney.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 7:02 p.m.
