The following bids were opened April 26, 2017. BIDDERS BASE BID ADD ALT 1 ADD ALT 2 ADD ALT 3 Engineer's Estimate 211,000 5,000 10,000 13,000 Orion Construction, Inc. 216,516 19,731 34,662 15,040 Ahtna Environmental, Inc. 178,900 5,000 2,000 15,000 Endries Company 244,848 3,500 6,200 4,000 G &S Construction, Inc. 165,000 13,000 29,000 14,500 The base bid scope of work includes removing the atrium and replacing it with conventional framed construction with windows and roof. Additive alternate one includes furnishing and installing solar shades. Additive alternate two upgrades the window frames from vinyl to aluminum providing for a longer life expectancy. Additive alternate three upgrades from reusing the existing can lighting to pendant lighting. Because the roof has leaked for many years, we do not recommend awarding additive alternate three until we have the opportunity to perform sufficient demolition to ascertain if project contingency funds will be needed to repair hidden structural damage. Thanks to the Senior Connection's generous donation there are sufficient funds appropriated in this project account to award this project. Thank you for your consideration. ir
