Presents Tom Wagoner, Betty Glick, Jess Hall, Ron Ma stone Ray Measles, Dick Mueller Absents Vincent O'Reilly Vice Mayor Glick reviewed the actions taken August 30, 1961. City Manager Brighton and Atty. Delahay were instructed to go to PAA in Anchorage. Mayor O'Reilly and Council were also invited. City Manager Brighton said they met with Robie Strickland for about 40 minutes. They agreed to give the City 30 days to make accommodatione they had said we should make. It was not a 30 day ex- tension to determine if we will or won't, but to make accommodations. Mr. Faith went over Roble Strickland's head to do this. He also said we should do it sooner if we can. Mr. Brighton added some figures were thrown around last night (8-30-81) and reported today. (8-31-81) 0200,000 for the airport, 080,000 for warm storage, $56,000 overrun on the run- way job are all in the same situation he had said they, were in last night. Even though we have a contract they can withhold funds. Any 81-82 funds can also be withheld. MOTION: Councilman Wagoner moved, seconded by Councilman Malston, to adjourn till Wednesday night. PARTIAL TRANSLATION H-6 Planning & Zoning Report Councilwoman Glick spoke. 1. There was no meeting. A request has been made that they would like a letter from the City that they have no objection to a re -hearing on Lake St. The Borough Planning & Zoning approved, the City Planning & Zoning reviewed. The vacation was denied with Council concurrence. The client was out of town, Jan Taylor told the client's attorney, who notified the client. The client claimed he had not been notified. He objected to the decision. MOTION: Councilwoman Glick moved, seconded by Councilman Measles, to direct the Administration to send a letter to the Borough that they have no objection to the hearing process based on the fact that the individual has additional information to present to the Borough. Mayor O'Reilly asked, when he gets his hearing at the Borough, will he come to the City? Council- woman Glick replied, if it comes up prior to coming to the City, she will request postponement on the Borough level. : Motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. /Janct Whelan, C ty Clerk L_ _
