THE LIBRARY -
LIBRARIES IN ALASKA SEEK NEW DIRECTIONS
A meeting to be hold Thursday, October 6, at 7s00 pm in the
Activity Room of the Kenai Community Library, will give an
opportunity for Kenai Borough residents to explain problems
with library services. It: will also be a forum to voice
support for essential library programs.
The Alaska State Library is revising the statewide plan for
library services. Florence Mason is one of a group of
consultants with HDw Associates Inc., Library Planners and
Consultants, traveling throughout the state to hear the
concerns of local communities, so that the interests of all
Alaskans will be incorporated in the revision. Rapid changes
in technologies, declines in the Alaskan economy and
continued growth in demand for library services make it
essential that all interested Kenai Borough citizens
represent their concerns at this meeting.
Libraries are for everyone!
