It is our hope that the City Cuuncil will take tl~Is into cousideratiun and pass an ordinance allowing us to pay for D.J. services from this acxount. Mike, owner of the Music Box, has verbally agreed to provide his services at a reasonable prig of $ i 75.00 fur a 3 hour dance. Up until this point, he was charging $350.00. He has made this am~ngement only with us and the school district. Ideally, I would like to hold at least twelve (12) dances throughout the school year (back to school dances, holiday dances, etc.). The cx~st of twelve dances throughout the year would be $2100.00. Money generated as a result of our dances will probably range between $120.00 - $150.00, depending on whether it`s a Middle School dance or Highsr.,ho~~l. I am anticipating that as more dances am held, we will probs~bly off-set the cost of this setvic:e. Additionally, iuoiiey generated at the snack bar is typically higher during these events, and as more dances are held and the popularity of which rises, so w ill the money generated overall.
