HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 1489-1992...^ •-, Suggested by: Mayor CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE 1489-92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2.40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE GOVERNING LIQUOR LICENSE APPROVAL. WHEREAS, current city ordinances require the city council to approve liquor license applications upon findings that the lic,~uor licensees have satisfied all obligations to the Cfty of Kenai or that said obligations are all on a current basis; and WHEREAS, it is desirable tv amend the ordinance to allow a licensee to obtain a liquor license as long as the licensee has entered into a satisfactory agreement for payment of delinquent obligations and is in compliance with said payment agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT ORDAINED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI , ALASKA AS FOLLOWS: Chapter 2.40 is amen3ed as follows: • ~ meter 2_40 APPROVAL OF AN ACTIyITY OF A LICENSF~ Sections: 2.40.010 Obligations to City [MUST BE CURRENT]. 2.40.020 Approval by Council. 2.40.010 Obligations,to City jMUST BE CURRE~NT1: It is determined to be in the public interest that holders of ~ ~ppl cants for licenses issued by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board of the State of Alaska shall have all obligations to the City of Kenai on a [CURRENT] satisfactorv basis prior to the City Council approval of any activity of said license hold®r ~ applicant. 2.40.020 ~proval by Council: Prior to approving renewal or transfer of any liquor license by the Cfty of Kenai, the Council shall enter findings in the minutes of the Council that the afore- described liquor [LICENSES] ~censees have satisfied all obligations to the City of Kenai or that [SAID OBLIGATIONS ARE ALI, ON A CURRENT BASIS] the ap 1 ca ~~ entered into a City~a ~~,Qved ~~ plan-• :. :.. ~, . , ._ -. • :~ ~;.~ r • First Readings Second Reading: Efferstive Date: • ~~ May 6, 199a May 19, 1992 June 19, 1992 PASSED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 19th day of Mav. 1992.
