AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING
THE KENAI MUNICIPAL CODE LAND USE TABLE, CENTRAL COMMERCIAL ZONE,
RESIDENTIAL USES.
WHEREAS, the Land Use Table of the KMC establishes permitted
residential uses under the Central Commercial Zone; and
WHEREAS, these uses allow for one family through seven-plus faua-ily
dwellings as a secondary use except on the ground floor of the part
of the building fronting on collector streets and major highways,
as indicated by footnote number one; acid
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended that the
Central Commercial Zone allow residential uses for one family
through seven-plus family dwellings as secondary use without the
restriction indicated by footnote number one;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED 8Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that the Kenai Municipal Code Land Use Table,
Central Commercial Zone, Residential Uses, be amended as follows:

AMENDING LAND USE TABL
WHEREAS, the Land Use Table of the KMC refers to permitted uses in
the Central Commercial Zone; and,
WHEREAS, Residences are permitted as S1 in the Central Commercial
Zone; and,
WHEREAS, it would benefit this zone to allow residences as a
Secondary Use.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RECOMIMENDS TO THE KENAI CITY COUNCIL THE FOLLOWING CHANGE BE MADE
TO KMC LAND USE TABLE:
