AN. ORDINANCE QF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING KNC
~3.p5.010 TO CQMk~LY WITH LAWFUL EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS.
WHKRFxAB, KMC 23,05.010 describes general criteria for City employ~nant;
and
WHEREAS. legislation regarding discrimination based upon aqe or
disability requires that the City's Code be updated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA that KMC 23.05.010 is hereby amended as follows:

Employment in City Government shall be based on qualifications [AND
FITNESS], free of personal and political considerations, with equal
opportunity for all with no unl_„ awful restrictions as to race, color,
creed, religious affiliations, ,awe or sex. It is a policy of the City
to not discriminate against the [HANDICAPPED] qualified disabled in
employment.
