HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 1456-1991~ R7 Suggested by: Planning & Zoning CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE 1456-91 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING KENAI MUNICIPAL CODE 14.20.230(b)(2) ENTITLED "HOME OCCUPATIONS". WHEREAS, section 14.20.230 of the KMC deals with permitted uses for a Home Occupation; and WHEREAS, these uses include under subsection (b) (2) Day-care of nd more than {TEN PRESCHOOL AGE] children; and WHEREAS, the State of Alaska caregiver ratio under 7AAC 50.210.SUPERVISION: (c) In a home, if there are infants and toddlers in care, there may not be; (3) more than eight children under the age 12, including children related to the caregiver.; WHEREAS, the KMC should be updated to reflect the same criteria as . required by the State of Alaska, and NOW, THEREFORE SE IT ORDAINED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that the KMC 14.20.230(b)(2) is amended to read: (b) Uses Permitted. Subject to the development requirements of this section, home occupations include, but are not limited to, the following uses: 2 ) Day care of no more than eight children under the age l2 . ncludi~g children related to the caregiver [PRESCHOOL AGL CHILDREN].
