AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA INCREASING ~ ~~
ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BF $3,240.00 IN THE GENERAL FUNi7
AS A RESULT OF DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION FORFEITURES.
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai has received $3,240.00 from the U.S.
Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration as a result of
cash forfeitures in drug cases, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai is required under the Equitable sharing of
Se~.zed Assets Program to spend the money for law enforcement purposes,
and
WHEREAS, the Police Chief recommends purchasing vehicle strobe lights,
a rifle scope, a surveillance transmitter, and other police equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA that estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as
follows:
General Fund
Increase Estimated Revenues:
DEA forfeitures 0 0
Increase Appropriations:
Police - Small tools & minor equipment $ 661.49
Police - Machinery & Equipment 2,558.
