Suggested by: CITY OF 1C8NllI ORDINANC~i N0. 1409-90 • Council AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING KMC 20.05.080, CHANGING THE AMOUNT OF PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE REQUIRED OF PASSENGER VEHICLES-FOR-HIRE. WHEREAS, the current amounts of public liability insurance set forth in KMC 20.05.080 are set at a level which makes it difficult for operators of passenger vehicles-for-hire to obtain; and WHEREAS, the Kenai City Council has determined that the levels of public liability insurance of passenger vehicles-for-hire ntay be amended without appreciably affecting public safety; and WHEREAS, the Kenai City Council has determined that it ig in the best interest of the city to amend the amount of public liability insurance required for operators of passenger vehicles-for-hixe; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA that KMC 22.05.080 is hereby amended as follows: 20.05.080 Public Li~~y Insurance: An operator shall file with the City Clerk evidence of insurance certifying the operator insured for liability for damages on account of bodily injury or death, or for damages to property resulting from the ownership, maintenance, or use of any Passenger Vehicle-for-Hire.
