AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING THE
OFFICIAL KENAI ZONING NAP BY REZONING PARSONS HOMESTEAD 03 (BY PRELIMINARY
PLAT) FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENTIAL (RS) TO RURAL RESIDENTIAL (RR) DISTRICT.
NHEREAS, KNC 14.20.270 establishes a procedure to amend the Official Zoning .
Map of the City of Kenai. and
MHEREAS. a rezoning petition has been received from MSM Partnership,
property owners within the designated area proposed for rezoning. and
VNEREAS. the Kenai Advisory Planning A Zoning Commission has conducted the
required public hearing on September 10. 1986. and
MHEREAS, as a result of that public hearing. the Planning 8 Zoning
Commission recommend approval of the requested rezoning contingent upon the
preliminary plot designating the area to be Parsons Homestead 03 be duly
roe Md and filed.

This property came before the Commission as a part of a resubdivision of L.

be Inlet Woods West. As the plat for Inlet Vvede Mast was never finalled,

The current Land Use Nap designates the area as Nedium lvans#y Residential

and would require an amendment to Low Density Residential. The proposed

The City of Kenai has had a mandatory hookup ordinance for sewer for some

The Commission held a public hearing on September 10th. No comments or

objections were heard. The Commission recommends approval of the rezoning,

stipulation that the rezoning be contingent upon the preliminary plat be
finalled.

(c) Any person appointed Acting City Attorney under
these provisions shell be a member in good standing of the
Alaska Bar Association and duly licensed to practice law in
Alaska.
(d) The appointment of an Acting City Attorney shell
be Made in writing and copies of the appointment shall be
distributed to all Councilmembere, Department Heads, and
Commission Chairpersons, and a copy thereof shall be placed
In the Personnel file of the employee so appointed.
(a) When any period of service as City Attorney by an
Acting City Attorney shall be five (5) working days or more
in length, the perenn so serving shell be paid at the
minimum salary rate for City Attorney as provided in
KMC 23.55.010 during such period or in the case of a vacancy
of the City Attorney position at a rate set by the City
