HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 1016-1985- `8il�ilr �itl a - Suggested by: Planning & Zoning Commission1 CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 1016-85 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL KENAI ZONING MAP BY REZONING LOTS 3 & 4, SHAGINOFF SUBDIVISION TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CG) DISTRI►'T. WHEREAS, KMC 14.20.270 establishes a procedure to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Kenai, and WHEREAS, the rezoning petition was initiated by Karen M. Shaginoff to rezone Lots 3 & 4, Shaginoff Subdivision from Rural Residential (RR), to General Commercial (CG) District, and WHEREAS, the Kenai Advisory Planning and Zoning Commission has conducted the required public hearing on February 13, 1965, and received testimony both favoring and opposing the request, and WHEREAS, the Commission recommended denial of the rezoning petition and defeated Resolution No. PZ85-5, and WHEREAS, the Commission found that the rezoning request constituted spot zoning and was not consistent witte the Kenai Land Use Plan Map. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that the Official Zoning Map of the City of Kenai shall be amended as follows: Section 1: Subject property consisting of Lots 3 & 4 Shaginoff Subdivision is hereby rezoned to General Commercial (CG) District. PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 6th day of March, 1985.
