HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 1035-1985i i Suggested by: Beautification Committee CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 1035-85 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 1984-85 GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR A LANDSCAPING MASTER PLAN FOR DOWNTOWN KENAI. WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee has recommended to the City l Council that the City hire a planner to design a landscaping master plan for the downtown area. We are presently preparing a development plan for the Old Townsite in Renal and are becoming familiar with the city, particularly the downtown area. Chm qualifications for this type of project include downtown design aid re- vitalization plans. and landscape designs for such cosssmities as Bataan, Junasu =� (Auks Say), Satchikan, and Wasilla. Alaska. In 1982. we vets awarded FIRST PL= in the Missoula. Montana Downtown Riverfrout Corridur Design Compe- tition, dealing with open space design; in 1984, as received a Merit Award from the American Planning Association for our hhsises Downtown Design and Waterfront Park (now constructed); &ad is 1981. we received the Outstanding Achievement Award for the Port Townsend, Washington Downtown Master Plan.
