ORDINANCE NO. 1099-85
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $17,500 IN
THE CAPITAL PROJECT FUND, ENTITLED "EAST KENAI SEWER INTERCEPTOR"
AND INCREASING THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT TO INCLUDE DESIGN OF
WATER, SEWER, AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO BENEFIT THE PROPOSED
SCHOOL SITE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1006-65 appropriated $87,280 of 1974 water
and sewer bond monies for design of the East Kenai Sewer
Interceptor; and,
WHEREAS, Council desires to increase the scope of that project to
include design of water, sewer, and road improvements to benefit
the proposed school site in this location; and
WHEREAS, the road design costs, estimated at $17,500, should not
be paid from the water and sewer bond funds, but may be paid from
General Fund monies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that:

Section 2:
The scope of the East Kenai Sewer Interceptor Capital
Project be increased to include design of water, sewer, and road
improvements to benefit the proposed school site in this
location.

SUBJECT: Road, Water, Sewer to New School Site
You are being asked to introduce an ordinance for road design
money for the new school. Attached is a copy of the Wince/
Corthell/Bryson proposal. That will be considered at the
December 4, 1985 meeting, upon enactment of the ordinance.
Note that the route of the road, water, and sewer is slightly
different than that proposed by Keith at the November 6, 1985
meeting.

PHASE 11 5220 L.F. road improvements as shown on the attached
map, with Swires Drive paved from hsgnway to proposed
School Site.
Modify and incorporate Water and Sewer Improvements
as designed by Ted Forsi and Associates and as recommended
in Wince-Corthell-Bryson Sewer Study.
Approxirnatly 660 L.F. of the sewer along this portion of Lawton
Drive was included in our original proposal. The Phase II improve-
ments would add aparoximatly 4,290 Lineal Feet of Water, 3960 L.F. of
sewer and 5,220 L.F. of road, and 2500 L.F. of undergro"nd storm
drainage to the oroject. Additional desion work is broken down as
follows:
