CITY OF KENAI
ORDINANCE NO. 963-94
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
APAENDING KMC 23.05.010 TO PROVIDE FOR NONDISCRIMINATION TO
HANDICAPPED :INDIVIDUALS REGARDING CITY EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.
WHEREAS, Federal Revenue Sharing regulations require that the
City not discriminate against the handicapped regarding
employment, and that the City state their non-discrimination
practice in its personnel regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, as follows:
Section 1: That KMC 23.05.010 be amended as followb:
Employment -Qualifications and Fitness: Employment in City
Government shall be basea on qua cation and fitness,
free of personal and political considerations, with equal
opportunity for all with no restrictions as to race, color,
creed, religious affiliations, or sex. It is a policy of
the City to _not discriminate against the handicaoo�e in
