ORDINANCE; NO, 798-92
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
AMENDING KMC 9,05,010 TO ADOPT THE LATEST EDITIONA OF THE
NATIONAL VIRE CODES AND THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE AND TO REVEAL THE
14EFORENCF TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE IN KMC 8,05.010 2.
WHEREAS, +bho Council of the City of Kenai proviounly adopted by
roforonzo the 1970 Edition of the National Fire Codoa and the
1976 Edition of the Uniform Fire Code, and
WHEREAS# now editions of both of thoao codea have been
promulgated for 1902, and
WHEREAS, KMC 9.05.010 2 which adopts the 1976 Edition of the
Uniform Building Code io in conflict with the provisions of KMC
4.05,010 and is out of context in Title 8, and
WHEREAS, it would be meat beneficial and in the bout intoroat of
the City if the latoot codou be adopted to keep the City updated
with all fire safety eodoo.
NOW1 THEREFORE, HE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALABKA, as followas

Fire Protection A60oeiation is hereby adopted and incorporated by
roferenco an a part of the Ordinances of the City of Kenai.
flaaklan-Is Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2-14 of
the Cbartor of thq City of Kenai, the Uniform Piro Code of 1982,
is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as a part of the
Ordinances of the City of Kenai.

(a) The City hereby adopts the following fire
prevention standards:
(1) The NATIONAL FIRE CODES of 16 volumes, ],,jaZ
(1978] Edition, of the National Fire Protection
Association;

PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
BUILDING OFFICIALS;]
(3) That certain bound volume known as the
Uniform Fire Code of j,,g$,Z, (1976, EXCEPT FOR SUCH
PORTIONS AS ARE HEREINAFTER DELETED, MODIFIED, OR
AMENDED; AND THE SA14E ARE HEREBY ADOPTED AND
INCORPORATED AS FULLY AS IF SET OUT VERBATIM
HEREIN].
