CITY OF KENAI
ORDINANCE NO. 637-81
"I.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE STATE
JAIL CONTRACT FUND 1980-81 BUDGET BY $750 FOR REPAIRS AND
MAINTENANCE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 623-80 appropriated $500 to correct
deficiencies in the heat sensing system within the jail cell
block area, and
WHEREAS, additional costs were incurred, requiring more monies be
appropriated into the repair and maintenance account for this and
other routine maintenance, and
WHEREAS, the fund balance in the Jail Fund has approximately
$10,000 available for appropriation, and
WHEREAS, proper accounting practices require that all
appropriations of City monies be made by ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN^i4 OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that the following increases in the 1980-81 State
Jail Contract Fund budget be made:

Increase Appropriations:
Jail -Repair & Maintenance $750

Request transfer of $750.00 from Jail Fund Balance to Jail
Repair and Maintenance.
This transfer is to cover the unanticir.Ateu additional costs
incurred in the relocation of heat sensor from intake into
exhaust air from cells.
Funds requested will cover the repairs and leave the account
with enough monies for routine maintenance needs.
