HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 0629-1980s5-IN CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 629-80 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 1980-81 GENERAL FUND BUDGET BY $9,446 FOR ADDITIONAL OVERTIME IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, as a result of providing security for Mien Air Alaska at the Kenai Municipal Airport, the Police Department has incurred overtime charges in excess of their 1980-81 annual budget, and WHEREAS, it was anticipated that expenditures in the Police Department overtime account would have to be replenished by appropriating monies from the Wien Security revenue account, and WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting these monies be made available for overtime, and c WHEREAS, Wien Air Alaska has been billed, and has paid, for this security provided, and WHEREAS, proper accounting practices require that all appropriations of City monies be made by ordinance. Present funds in Police Overtime account are insufficient to cover known overtime needs through December 31, 1980. Deficiency in the account is primarily the result of Wien Security overtime.
