N1HE~cEAS, trtillow Street from the Kenai Snur to the Airport Terminal is
a well-traveled road in need of improvement and such improvement
should include continuous illumination,
VTHERF,AR, illumination of Ntillow Street a$ a Hart of the reconstruction
would urovide benefit to all concer:ied propert~~ owners and the public.
NnW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI'PY OF KENAI,
ALASKA as follows
Section 1: Upon direction of the Council, the City Manager
has m»de a survey and report concerning the need for and estimated cost
of installing appropriate continuous illumination of 47illow Street from
the Kenai Spur to the Airport Terminal as a hart of the State of Alaska
reconstruction of ~lillow Street, and has prepared a preliminary ~
assessment roll. Such assessment roll has been on file with the City
Clerk at least thirty (30) days prior to the public hearing on the
necessit~- for imprcvemEr~t. ~

the Code of the City of Kenai. ;
Section 3: Protests filed with the City Clerk concerning the /
proposed improvement amount to less than tre~ nLnber required to stop

Section .~. The Council hereby finds that the improvment is ~,
necessary and will benefit the properties in the proposed dfstrict.

Section 5: The Council hereby directs that the City proceed
with t e proposed improvement. Cast estimated at $140,000 shall be
apportioned as follows:
Funded by LSR & T $ 40,000
Funded by street bond fund balance (1974
refunded bond issue) $ 40,000
Remaining approximately $60,000 funded by proportioned
assessment against benefited properties.
Formula for apportionment shall be relative to front footage.
