HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 0410-1978CITY OF KENA! ~ ORDINANCE NO. 410-78 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA EBTABLISHIN¢{ A CAPITAL PROJECT FUND ENTITLED "AIRPORT RUNWAY PAVING PROJECT NO. 78-2" AND DECLARING AN EMF. RGENCY. WHEREAS, grant funds are available from the Federal Aviation Administration for the purpose of paving the Kenai Municipal Airport Runway, and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kenai approved CH2M Hill as the engineer on May 3, 1978, and WHEREAS, preparation of the grant application by CH2M Hill should not exceed $2,300, and WHEREAS, proper accounting practices require that all appropriations of City monies be made by ordinance. I~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Kenai, as follows: Section 1: AL'port Land System Increase Estimated Revenues: Contribution from Fund Balance $2,300 Appropriations: Tranefers - Contribution to Capital P~oJeets 2,300 Section 2: Capital Projects Fund "Airport Runway Pavin{{" Increase Rstimated Revenues: Contuibution from Airport Land System 2,300 Appropriations: Engineering 2,300 Section 3: An emergency is hereby declared to exist in that the immediate appropriation of the above amount is necessary in order for the City of Kenai to obtain ADAP funding needed to make ah, po~t runway improvements and tho rules governing the intuoduotion, ~'eading, passage and approval are hereby suspended and this ordinance shall be effective on this 17th day of J~l~, 1978.
