HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 0329-1977 CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 329-77 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, DECLARING FAA BUILDING NO. 107 SURPLUS AND DIRECTING THAT IT BE SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION. WHEREAS, American Legion Post #20 is currently occupying Building #107 in the FAA Housing area, and WHEREAS, the American Legion has requested purchase of the building for removal to another location, and WHERE_~S, it is the intention of the Council that all buildings eventually be cleared from the old FAA Housing area so that the land may be used for other purposes, and WHEREAS, sale of surplus materials of the City must be by competitive bid. NOW, %~EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Kenai that= Section 1: Building %107 in the old FAA Housing area is hereby declared surplus. Section 2: The Council hereby directs that Building %107 be so[~ with the condition that the buyer removes it from the site at which it is now located within 90 days of purchase at purchaser's expense. The land is to be restored to its natural contour to blend in with the surrounding area and all holes are to be backfilled and loose material removed also at purchaser's expense. Such sale shall be by public auction on April 6, 1977 at 8:00 p.m. with the minimum acceptable bid to be $7,500.00. Successful bidder shall be required to deposit 90% of the bid with the City at the time of the auction with the balance due within three days. Advertisement of the auction shall be made at least once in a newspaper of general circulation within the City. day of March, 1977. ATTEST ~ ~uez~.
