ORDINANCE NO, 315-76
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI RE(~URING THAT
ASSESSMENTS BE MADE CURRENT AT THE TIME OF TRANSFER OF TITLE, A8
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is essential to have assessment8 cu,-Tent at
the time of transfer of title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Kenai, Alaska,
as follows:
The Code of the City of Kenai is hereby amended to add new Sections
16-22 and 16-23 which shall read as follows:
Payment of Assessments Upon Transfm. of Title
Section 16-22: All past due installments on any special ass~sssments
lea, ied on proper~y in any impl'ovement district within tl;c
shall be paid in full with applicable interest and p~lalty prior to the time
any transfer of rifle to that propem'ty is duly recorded in aeco,,dance with
statue. The ~ansferor of the prope~y shall be responsible fo~ ensuring
that the provisions of this see,~ion ~l,e complied with.
S~tion 15;23: Any person who violates the provtstone of Section 16-22
is ~uflty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine not to exceed $$00.
The penalty provided for herein may be assessed for each pa,'eel to which
title is t~ansferred and shall not bar re~,mlar foreclosore proceedings pro-
vtded for by statute.
