AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENA!
AMENDING SECTION 7-39 OF THE KENAI CITY CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE
SALE OF SURPLUS PROPER'~¥
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council r,f the City of Kenal, Alaska, that:
Section 1. Section 7-39 of the Code of the City of Kenat is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 7-39. The City Administrator may sell the following, only
with notice to and approval of City Council, without giving an opportunity for
competitive bidd lng:
(a) Surplus or obsolete supplies, materials, equipment or other
property, excluding real property, the value of which does not exceed ONE
THOUSAND and No/100ths ($1,000.00) DOLLARS, in a stngle transaction, or
lb) Supplies, materials, equipment or other property, excluding
real property, when sold at a price at least as great as that paid by the City
for the same, provided that the following conditions shall be met.
[1] Any such property valued In excess of ONE THOUSAND
and No/100ths ($1,000.00) DOLLARS shall be appraised by a qualified
appraiser within six (6) months preceding the sale, and the sale price shall
be not less than the appraised value.
(2} The City Council shall approve of the sale of any such
property valued in excess of ONE THOUSAND and No/100ths ($1,000.00)
DOLLARS.
