THE CODE OF THE CITY OF K~NAI BY AMENDINO THE ~¢TXgN
PERTAININO TO OR8 CODES (SECTIeN ~-31).
BE IT O~DAIr~D BY THE COUNCIL eF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA~
Section 1. The Code of the City_ of Kensi, 196], as amended
by Change No. 1, adopted September 6~ 1967, is hereby amended
by further amending ~rdinence No. 126-67, Section 4-31, by the
addition of the following words -
"For the purpose of this ordinance, the designated Representative
shall be KenaibU~ility Service Corporation.
No permit will be issued to persons other than those duly licermed
to perfor~ wor~ on natural ~as equipment in tills City. Llce~i~ ,~
shall be effected et the discretion of the desk,tea represent-
etive of the City, based on successful completion of an exa~na~ion
based on the contents of the codes refer~ed to in section 4-30.
Licensi~ may fu~her be effected on a reciprocal basis with other
City licenses where there is evidence that similar lice~i~ stand-
ards are obse~ed. The only exception to the rule requiri~ s
license before e pe~it may be ~ranted is In the case of s private
individual who wishes to ma~ a ~as i~tallstion in his ~n personal
reside~e. Specifically, this does not apply to any type of co~r-
cia1 application and the i~lvi~ual ~t personally reside et the
premises involved.
Further, no person shall physicall$, enga,e in the performance of
work on any gas equipment except such person that shall be duly
licensed, or be working on gas equipment at his personal place of
private residence. A bonafide apprentice may, however, work under
the supervision of a licensed fitter after having first obtained
permission from the designated representative."
