Nothing in this rule shall be construed as placing upon the City any
responsibility for the continuation or maintenance of any of the consumer's
wirir~, current consuming devices, or other equipment, and the City shall not
be held liable for ar$, loss or darage re'.u!ting from a.~- defects in the con-
sumer's installations and shall not be held liable for damage to persons or
Section 9~ CO}'SU~S' OPeRATIOn'S. In case of hoist and elevator
motors, electric furnaces, wireless ihstallations, or other equipment of like
character where the use of electric current is intermittent or subject to
violent fluctuation, the City may require the consumer to provide at his own
e~enze eq,uitp._ment which will reasonably limit such fluctuations. The City
reserves the right to refuse to supply a service cf a character which may
seriously i,mpair service to other consumers or to discontinue service to any
consumer v~o shall continue to use appliances or apparatus detrimental to
the service of others.
Section 10: I~'CREASED USE. In order to prevent damage to the City,s
equipment and impairment of its service, the consumer shall give the City
reasonable notice before making any additions to a connected load or any
additions of ar~ nature to the service rendered so that the City may, at its
option, provide such facilities as may be necessary for furnishing the in-
creased service.
Section 11~ INTERRUPTIOM OF $,~vICE. The City shall exercise reason-
able diligence and .~are' 'to 'furnish and deliver a continuous and satisfactory
supply of electric ea~r~y ~o she cons~mf;r, but will ~ot be liable f~r inter-
rupted service or shortage, of supply ~ue to acci~ent or co~itior~s beyond the

Utilities, Ltd. under a contract which provides that the nur~haR~
pay certain scheduled increases in the suppliers cost of gas used
in electric generation.

The rate for any special contract covering any class and
character of service under any availability when specifically
set forth in a special contract recommended by the Yanager
and adopted by special resolution of the City Council shall
have such rate as may be ~et forth in such resolution and
contract.
The amotul$ o£ the total of
employers contribution, privilege or other form of tax, con-
tribution or assessment imposed by any Municipal, Federal or
State Agency, department or taxing bod~ upon Xenai City Light,
and the cost of collecting and administering incident thereto,
may be apportioned by KCL among the various different classes of
service furnished therein and shall constitute an additional
cr~:~e under an~ rate schedule or special contract covered by
this Ordinance.
