Section 11 - TAX RATI~ AND ~BLXN(~ DAT~z TAX STAT~M~NTSt I~LqLTY

ATTAC~rE OF TAX
~a) The Council, by resolutions aha11 fix the rate o~ tax
levy and designate the number o£ mills upon each dollar of assessed
re2! p_~_~v~.r~? that shall be levied and shall levy. said tax in accord-
ance therewith. The Assessor shall then prepare and mall tax state-
ments tO the person or persona listed ss the owner on the tax rolls.
The taxpaylr shall be 8iven the ~isht to pay such taxes in
staiXmsnts, one £o~ the first hal~ of the tax year and one for the
lmat ha]~ thereof, and t~ the first inatailment is not paid when due,
as herein~ter provided, thc entire tax for the year becomes deign-
quit ~d l~nalty and t~terest attach and accrue ss hereinafter
provided. X~ the £irst instal!~ent be paid when due, the ascend
installment shall be payable on the due date herein~ter fixed in
this Ordinance for such second installment ~hich, if not paid, shall
be delim~uent a~te~ such date. A penalty o£ titree (3) percent o£
the e~tire tax for the yea~ shall he added ~hen the first installment
becomes delinquent. After the due date for payment o£ the second
tnst:~llmm~t, the penal~y shall increase to a total o£ eight (8)
percent o£ all delinquent taxes, interest at a rate of eight (8)
percent per ~_~um shmll be charged on ali delinquent taxes £rom the
date o£ delinquency thereof.
Sec.ticn 2s That Section Il (b), Ordinance No, 8, is amended to read as
