Duplicate Tags - In ¢~se any dog tag is lost, a duplicate nay be issued by the Clerk upon presentation of a receipt showing the payment of the 1t~e ~ee ~or the curr~t year. Section 13, Cb~fine~enz ox Certain Dogs - No female dog in heat, no dog of vicious haMts ~r likely to cause.injury to any person and no dog ~hich habituall~ chases automobiles shall he allo~ed by it~ o~n~t to rue at large. The police officers of the City may take up and impound any dog found at large in v~olation of th~s provision, and release it only upon payment of the fees provided in Section 8. X64 1 ~ction ~4. ~estrictions on Certain Dogs - /1o person shall keep or harbor a do~ ~l~iCh habitually bark~ or c~ies between the hours o£ lO:OO P.M. and 6~00 A.M, No dog o~ner shall pcrmit his dog to damage any lawn, garden, or other property. Section 15. Interference ~ith Of[icer$ - It ~hall be unlnv~ul for any un- authorized person ~'o break open the pound or to attempt to do so~ or to take or let out any dogs :nere£rom, or to take ur attempt to take from any officer a~y dog taken up by ~n i~ compliance ~ith th~s ordinance or ~n any m~nner to ~nter£ere ~ith or hL:~ler ~uch officer in the discharge of h~ ~ut~es under this ordinance. Section 16t Offenses Involving Tags - It shall be unle~ful to ~ounter- reit or attempt to counterfeit the tags provided for in Section :3 of this the ~ntent to place it upon another dog. Section 17. Tags Not Trartsferable - Dog tags shall not be transferable and no refunds shall be made on any license £ee because of leaving the City or death o~ the dog be£ore the exptrat~on of the license per~d. Sect~ 1~o Muzzling Proclamation - ~henever the prevalence of hydro- phob~renders such action necessary, to p~otect tbs public health and safety, the Mayor shall ~asue a proclamation ordering every per,on oan~ng or keeping a dog to confine it securely on has premises unless ~t ts m~z~led ~o that ~t cannot bate. No pe.r~on shall violate such proclamation, a~,~ any un~uzzZed dog running at large during the tLme f~xed in the proclamation shall be ktlled by the police w~thout not,ce to the owner. Section 19~ Y~nnels - No person, firm or ~orporation sha~l maintain in t~ts City a kennel ~heredngs are kept for sale aithout securing a license therefor £~om the C~ty Clerk. The license fee shall be $~.OOper year. This fee shall bm in addition to the ltcense fee prescribed An preceding ~ecttons £or each dog kept in such kennel. Section 20. Vaccination - No license shall be granted for a dog ~hlch has not been vaccinated a~ainat tables aa provided tn tlJ~s oec~on the 90-day period preceding the ~aking of an appl~¢ation for such except that ~hen a dog ~s ~irat l~¢ensed fo~ ~n entire year hereafter~ the l~¢ensemay be issued if the dog has been vaccinated a~thtn a per~od of six months preceding the application £~r a l~cense. Vaccination shall be per- £ormed only by a doctor qualt£ted to pract£ce veterin~ry medicine tn the state An ~hich the dog ia vaccinated. Upon &ssuance of a proclamation, by re~olutton o£ the City Council. no £utthe~ application6 will be accepted pursuant to Section 2 of the Ordinance until the applicant has £trst compiled with the prov~sions this section (Section Section 21. Penalty - Any person~ £irm or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty o£ a misdemeanor and upon con- vlctton thereof ohall ba p~nished by a fine of not ~ore than $100.Oa~ or i~- priaon~ent in jail for not more thm~ 30 days.
