All legislative powers o£ the City -and the determination of policy shall be vested £** the Council. The Council shall have the powers con~erred upon it by th~ lava of tl~: State of Alagkao Section 2o QUALIPICATIO~$ OP LOUNClI~iI!N MID (a) The qual!f!¢atiens of counc!b~en ehall be that ~hey be c~alified electors of the City, and shall have been residents o£ the City of of territory annexed to the City, or shall have had a combination of residence in the City and in the annexed territory, for a period of not less than three (3) years preceding ~.e date of £iling nominatir~ petition~ for election to the Council. (h) The Council shall consist of thc Mayor ~:d six (6) councilmen. (c) ~he terms of office of the ~,ayot and of each councilman shall be as prescribed b~ law, (d) The salaries of ~ouncilmen and Mayor shall be as established by ordinance. Section 3.
