~lutPment I~ awarded to Division 10 Products, Inc. (Burke) [or the following r~Sons.
The Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kermi Paninsula Borough was not in the

bid specs stated bids would be rejected ff the certificate was not Included. The
certificate was received by fax on March 30, 1995. '~
Various differences were found in the structure materials:
Decks: Burke. 13 gauge steel . ..:
Game Time- 9 gauge steel ·.
Clamps - Burke 'has a hinged clamp that encompasses. the post ~re..
Game Time has a single bolt' connection. Burke clamps, have 'a-lifetim'e.
warranty. ..
In installing the Game Time equipment in Municipal Park two years ago, we had
a number of Instances where we had .to drill new holes to'make plecas fit, thus
prolonging the assembly time.
This seems to be an on going problem with Game Time a. Bob Frates rePOrted
that several people at the Maintenance Management ~hool he attended. In
February mentioned the same type of problems.
I contacted the AnChorage Parks Department to get a comparison of BUrke.. and
Game Time as they have both types in their park sYStem. They echoed the same
problems on installation and felt that Burke had a heaVier, more solid structure. ·
