WHEREAS, on December 1, 1994, the following bids were.opened for a 1995 Police patrol car: Seekins Peninsula Ford $19,863.. Worthington Ford 19,873 WHEREAS, the bid from Seekins Peninsula Ford is the lowest responsible bi? and substantially conforms to the bid specifications, and WHEREAS, the Police Chief recommends award to Seekins Peninsula Ford; and WHEREAS, honey was appropriated for th~s purchase in ~he FY95 budqet. The purchase amount of the vehicle is $19,863.00. Bids were opened on December received: Seekins Peninsula Ford Worthington Ford 1, 1994. The following bids were $19,863.00 $19,873.00 Seekins misunderstood the bid specifications for bumper guards to mean a push bumper, so mistakenly listed that as an exception to the bid. It is my recommendation that the award be made to Seekins Ford since it substantially conforms to bid specifications. DLM=gc
