REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 12, 2021 — 6:00 P.M.

MEETING SUMMARY
1. CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Chair Dunn called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Commissioner Chair Dunn led those assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Crandall MOVED to approve the agenda as written and Commissioner Hutchison
SECONDED the motion. There were no objections; SO ORDERED.
2. SCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMENTS — None.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMENT — None.
4. APPROVAL OF MEETING SUMMARY
a. January 25, 2021
b. February 8, 2021
MOTION:
Commissioner Crandall MOVED to approve the meeting summaries of January 25, 2021 and
February 8, 2021 and Commissioner Hutchison SECONDED the motion. There were no
objections; SO ORDERED.
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS — None.
6. NEW BUSINESS
a. Discussion — Update on Bluff Erosion RFP
Public Works Director Curtin reported that the RPF was put out on January 28, 2021 and proposals
were due on March 411. He had received five proposals from capable firms, and after a committee
evaluated the proposals they decided that HDR was the most successful proposer. An intent to
award was sent to HDR Engineering on March 1811, and now they will negotiate the contract terms.
7. REPORTS
a. Public Works Director — S. Curtin reported on the following:
• Springtime dredging on boat ramps: will wait for low tides to put in the floats
sometime in early May, and the ice will need to be melted;
• State DOT dredging: we have a five-year ongoing Corp of Engineers permit, a
small amount of dredging at the end of ramps;
• Draft budgets are available, work sessions are in late April and Capital
Improvement Plan will be provided as well; they will be finalized in May and
June.
b. Harbor Commission Chair — Chair Dunn noted that he appreciated everyone
coming to the meeting and participating.
c. City Council Liaison — Vice Mayor Molloy reported on the actions of the City
Council meetings of February 17, March 3, March 17 and April 7, 2021. He also
noted that Airport Manager Bondurant is retiring at the end of the month, and her
service has been appreciated.
8. NEXT MEETING ATTENDANCE NOTIFICATION — May 10, 2021
Commissioner Peters noted he will be absent for the meeting on May 10, 2021.
9. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS
Commissioner Crandall thanked everyone for all their due diligence, and thanked Council Member
Molloy for all he does for the committee.
10. ADDITIONAL PUBLIC COMMENT — None.
11. INFORMATION ITEMS — None.
12. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 7:24 p.m.
