Land ProfesS~ol~l Sorvioss
Included in the November 6, 1991 Council packet is a purehase order
for $5,405.00 to Swan Surveying to provide as-built surveys and
boundary surveys of threu parks. The State of Alaska, Division of
Parks and Outdoor Recreation, is requiring surveys for Kenai
Hunicipal Park, Cunningham Park and the F.A.A. Football Field.
There was $10,000 appropriated for Land Professional Services for
F¥91-92. There is a balance of $2,235.00. This account was
heavily used this fiscal year for items that were not anticipated
and therefore not budgeted for. Examples are the sampling of'
hazardous materials on City owned land on Redoubt Avenue, an
built survey of Old Town near the Russian Orthodox Church, an
built survey of East Kenai Trail Park (also required by State
Parks), and several litigation reports. The largest expense from
this account was $5,030.00 for an as-built, preliminary plat and
final plat for the golf course property.
In addition tot he purchase order in the packet, I anticipate that
the City will need a preliminary and final plat of Old Town near
the Russian Orthodox Church.
I have spoken with the City Manager regarding this and it is his
recommendation that a resolution be prepared for the November 6
Council meeting. Because we are not yet half-way through the
fiscal year, he has suggested the resolution appropriate $10,000 to.
this account.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
