A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
AWARDING A COMMUNICATION-EQUIP~MAINTENANCE CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $23,?60 FOR A THREE-YEARPERIOD.
WHEREAS, on June 8, xggo, the City received bids for
communication equipment maintenance for the three-year period
beginning July 1, 1990 and ending June 30, 1993, as follows:
Motorola Communications
Southcentral Communications
Three-Year Bid

WHEREAS, the bid from Southcentral Communications is the lowest
responsible bid; and,
WHEREAS, Additive Alternate #1 covers radar units.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that a contract in the amount of $23_,760 for .a .__

Communications Maintenance Contract
June 8, 1990
Request a resolution be prepared awarding the radio communica-
tions contract to Southcentral Communications For FY91, FY92, and
FY93. The amount ct~ award including additive alternates is
$7,920 For each oF the years, with a total bid si' $23,760 for the
three ~ear period.
Bids were opened on 6/8/90. $outhcentral Communications' bid was
the lowest received. Bids received were as follows: (includes
base bid and additive alternate and reflects total costs f~or
three year period.) '
Motorola Communications $26,640. O0
Southcentral Communications $23,760. O0
Motorola took no exceptions. Southcentral Communications took
exception to bid on antennas and cords l~or the additive alter-
nate. A review of' past maintenance reveals no costs associated
with these items for the last six years.
