CITY OF KENAI
RESOLITTION NO. 80-28
A RES~JLUTION OF THE COITNCIL OF TFiE CtTY OF KENAI, ALASKA
SUPPORTI2dG ANDY'S FLYZNG SERVICE, INC. IN ITS EFFORTS TO
OBTAIN PERMANENT AUTHORITY 2'~ OPERATE SCHEDULED AIR SERVICE
BETWEEN THE POINTS OF KENAI, HOMER, AND ANCHORAGE.
WHEREAS, Andy`s Flyiny Se~:•ice, Inc. ~ias a~plied with the
Alaska Transportation Commission for_ permanerit authority
to operate sclieduled air service between the points of Kenai,
Homer, and Anchoraqe, and
WHEREAS, Andy's Flying Service, Inc. is an established operator
based in Kenai, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kenai is interested in
encouraging qrowth of local business and commerce, and
wHEREAS, a locally based operator may provide quicker trans-
poration i:o Anch~rage when weather conditions have delayed
early morning departures because there is no delay while
waiting for planes to fly from Anchorage to Kenai.
NOW, TFEEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENAI, ALaSKA, that tt~is Council support Andy's Flying
Service, Inc. in it's effortA ta obtain permanent authority
to operate scheduled air service between the points of Kenai,
Homer an@ Anchorage, and that the Clerk shall serve copies of
this resolution to Kepresentatives O'C4nnell and Malone;
Governor Jay Hammond, Senator Clem ~rillion, and the Alaska
Transportation Commiss3.on.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY NAI, ALASKA this 5th
