CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTZON NO. 80-134
A RESOLUTIdN OF THE CnUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENAI, ALASKA,
AUTHORIZING $ILL BRIGHTON, CITY MANAGER, AND REITH KORNELIS,
PUBLIC WORRS DIRECTOR, AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
CITY OF RENAI IN DEA~ING WITH DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAI,
~i~NSERVATION OF THE STATE OF ALASRA, AND U. S. ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AGENCY CONCERNING THE CENTRAL KENAI INTERCEPTOR AND
SEWAGE PUMP STATIONS AND AUTFIORIZING THE CITY OF KENAI TO ACCEPT
DEC AND EPA GRANTS WHEN OFFERED.
WAEREAS, the City of Kenai is expecting a grant from BEC and EPA
for the Central Renai Interceptor and Sewage Pump Station, and
WHEREAS, an authorized representative can be designated now in
order to expedite this project and assist in receiving DEC and
EPI~ funding, and
WHSR~AS, either the Ci~.y Manager or the Public Works Director
seem to be a logical choice for this responsibility.
NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENAI, ALASRA, that Bill Brighton, City Manager, and Keith
Kornelis, Public Works Director, are officially desiqnated as the
authorized representatives of the City of Kenai and either of
them may execate any docurnents dealing with State ~f Alaska-DEC
and US-EPA concerning the Central Kenai Interceptor anc] Sewage
Pump Stations and a~thorizing the City of Kenai to accept DEC and
EPA Crants when offered.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENA ALASKA this 6th day
of August, 1J80.
