RESOLUTION N0. 81-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENAI, ALASKA,
AOTHORIZING THE CONTRACT FUR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING DESIGN P.ND
INSPECTION FOR RENOVATIuN OF T8E RENAI MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TERI4INAL
BUILDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF RE2JAI AND CARMEN V. GINTOLI,
ARCHITECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai received eight proposals for this
project, and
WHEREAS, this project is funded with 1981-82 State Legislature
funds, and
WHEREAS, this contract will not be executed until these funds are
available, and
WHEREAS, this
project has been authorized by the Council of the
City of Renai, and
WHEREAS, the proposals from all eight firms were given
consideration and study by the Public Works Committee of Council,
and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee of Council recommends to the
Council as a whole that the contract for this project be awarded
to Carmen V. Gintoli, Architect, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENAI, ALASKA, that Carmen V. Gintoli, Architect be awarded the
project of the Architectual/Engineering Design and Inspection for
the Renovation and Expansion of the Renai Municipal Airport
Terminal Building for a lump sum figure of $190,250, subject to
receipt of the grant and appropriation of monies.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENAI, ALASKA, this 19th day
of August, 1981.

•, Per our telephone conversation this day, we are pleased to offer the
following tee schedule.- ~
Our fee is based on a "Services Rendered" schedule rather than
percentage of contract. The fee-will be the Lump Sum amount of
' 5190,250.00.
- t•!e will take the protect beginning with Schematic Designs, through
the bidding phase and provide a full-time on-site individual during
the course of construction, assuming ~ twelve month construction period.
. Please refer to the enclosed copy of. the proposal submitted on June 24th,
1981. Specifically Items 1 through,lO for the outline of specific
services to be provided.

Information will be gathered from: the users regarding special
requirements and number of passengers present and anticipated.
We wilt also meet with Rental Car Agencies and around trans-
portation agencies to determine their requirements for terminal
space and parking space. ,
Data gathered from these meetings wilt be assimitated in
Report form.
11. Evaluation: Data Report will be given to the City of Kenai for Review
and Comment. Our team wilt meet with City of Kenai Officials -
as required for Data Report Review and Recommendations.' Review
results ~ti~ill be coordinated with various users.
Schematic Design Phase: After Uata Report is revie~red and approved, t:~c
information will b~ put in schematic desi~r~ form an~ presente~
to the City of Y.enai and to the users for review and comment.
Presentations for Public Hearings will be made as required by
the C i ty of Kenai .
Ait information gathered from various presentations will be
assimilated and revisions to the Schematics will be made if
required.
Preliminary Design: Upon final acceptance of ii~e Schematic Designs, we
will proceed tcs the Preliminary Design phase.
_ Preliminary Designs will bs presented to the City of t:enai and
the users for review.
Public Presentation will be made as required by the City.
