HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION 1989-01f Suggested by: Council CITY OF KENAI RESOLUTION NO. 89-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA1989-90 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP) PRIORITY LIST FOR REQUEST FOR STATE GRANTS.. WHEREAS, input for the 1989-90 CIP list from the Kenai City Council, City Administration, and the citizens for the City of Kenai, has resulted in the following prioritized CIP list being requested of the State of Alaska, and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council that Paving projects in residential areas will be partially funded by forming assessment districts in order to make any available State funding go farther toward completion of the priority list, and WHEREAS, many public meetings were held concerning the 1989-90 Capital Improvement List, and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Renal, after receiving and analyzing the input from all sources and after much discussion and deliberation, has decided to adopt the attached 1989-90 CIP hist, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council of the their affirmative vote for the maintenance of all the City projects listed. City of Kenai pledge and operational costs NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that the City of Kenai adopt the attached list entitled '.'CITY .OF KENAI,. REQUEST FOR . STATE GRANTS, 1989-90 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS" AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ~hat prior to initiating paving pro~ects in residential areas through the use of State funds the City shall hold public hearings towards the formation of special assessment districts to partially fund' projects listed under the Capital Improvements Pro~ect priority list.
