A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA 'DIRECTING' THE
CONTINUATION OF THE UPL~tDAND HIGHLAND STREETS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT.
WHE~, the City of Kenai has held a public hearing to hear comment concerning
the necessityfor paving and drainage improvements, and the proposed assessments
relating to such ~mprovemants, on Upland and Highland Streets; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds it desirable to continue with the proposed project
and assessment district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that:
Section 1: The paving and drainage Improvements on Upland and Highland
Streets are necessary and of benefit to the properties to be assessed.
Section 2: The assessment district has not been objected to by o~ners of
proper2ies bearing 50% or more of the estimated costs robe borne by property
owners.
Section 3: An accountingshall be kept of the costs of thesetmproVements,
and after all costs are known, the City Manager shall prepare an assessment roi1
for the t~rovements. It is est/mated that 12% oft he costs of the/mprovements
will be assessed against the benefited properties.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 2nd day of Au~st, 1989.
