PROGRAM PUNDING Enclosed ia a copy of Resolution No. 88~009, urging the state of Alaska to resume funding of the Fisheries ~ehabilitation, Enhancement and Development Program at a level that will en- sure the continuation and expansion'of the fish by-products industry, approved by the Seward City Council on Monday, Jan- uary 25, 1988. ". -1- II I CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 88-009 WBSREAS, Dr. Leon's research and evaluation of existing programs are necessary for the continued success of NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, thatl Section 1. The city of Seward strongly urges the state of A~ahka to continue to fund the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Fisheries Rehabilitation, Enhancement and Development, at the level originally approved for Fiscal Year 1988 in order to assure the continuation of the princi- pal biologist's position and thus provide the continuation and expansion of the fish by-products reduction industry within the state.
