SUBJECT: BNOZNBBRZNO PROPOSALS - AZRPOHT TAXZWAYAHD
RUNWAY OVBRLAY
We have received proposals for design o£ Phase I and Phase IX of
the referenced project and oonstruotion services for Phase I
only,
Phase ! in=ludes an overlay of Taxiways A and B and Phase I!
includes an overlay and electrioal improvements for Taxtway C and
the Runway. The project was arranged in phases so as to take
advantage of available ADAP funds that must be allooated by
September 1. Phase II would be funded with available ADAP funds
next year. Phase II design oontracts ney need to be amended at a
later date to include work that the FAA may require that is as
yet uncertain and possibly work associated with potential
military facilities.
As far as the proposals submitted, Wince-Corthell-BFFson has
submitted the lowest costs for performing the work. This firm is
currently working on a similar project in Nenana and has a very
strong working relationship uith the FAA whioh will be neoesoary
to quiokly complete Phase I design work. This firm should be
well aware of the effort neoeseary to complete this pro~ect,
