HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTION 1987-64Suggested by: Council ClTY OF~ A ItI~OLUTION OF TI~ COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF CITY OF fail'ii, ~1~I~ 1988-89 C~PIT~L :~IPROVI~I~T PR0~CT (CIP) PRIOIIITY LIST FOR l~Qtl~ FOR STATF- GRJt~iTS. ~I~RE~, input for the 1988-89 CIP list from the Kenat City Council, City Administration, and the citizens for the City of Kenai, has resulted tn the follo~ing prtor£tized CIP list being requested of the State of Alaska, and ~I~, it ts the intent of the Council that paving projects tn residential areas will be partially funded by forming assessment districts in order to n~e any available State funding go farther toward completion of the priority list, and WHEI~, the following public letings were held, Meetings Open to the Public W~EREAS, the Council of the City of Kenai, after receiving and analyzing the input from all sources and after much discussion and deliberation, has decided to adopt the attached 1988-89 CIP List, and ~HEI~, the Mayor and the Council of the City of Kenai pledge their affirmative vote for the maintenance and operational costs of all the City projects listed. NOW, THEI~FORE, BE IT P~ESOLV~D BY THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OFK~NAI, ~/~SKA, that the City of Kenai adopt the attached list entitled, "City of Kenai, Alaska, 1988-89 Capital Improvement Projects Request for State Grants". AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLED that prior to initiating paving projects in residential areas through the use of State funds the City shall hold public hearings towards the for~tion of special assessment districts to partially fund projects listed under the Capital Improvements Project priority list.
