RESOLUTION N0. 84-91

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
CHANGING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN DENA'INA POINT
ESTATES SUBDIVISION.
WHEREA5, KMC 14.15.140 authorizes the Council of the City of
Kenai to name and rename streets, and
WHEREAS, the Kenai Planning ~ Zoning Commission recommends the
naming and renaming of certain city streets with their Resolution
No. PZ84-70, and
WHEREAS, certain ambiguities exist on certain existing street
names resulting in confusion on pronunciation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, as follows:
Section 1: That the street names be che~ged and/or
established e~~ording to the attached Exhibit "A" and that said
names when accepted for City maintenance be incorporated on the
Master Street Plan.
Section 2: That the City of Kenai's Public Works Department
keep and update a Master Street Plan drawing that includes all
roads that are accepted and maintained within the City of Kenai
and that such roads on the drawing will be considered the
official names of these roads.
PASSED SY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA this 1st day
of August, 1984.

A RESOLUTION OF THE KENAI ADVISORY PLANNING ~ ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF KENAF, RENAMING STREETS WITHIN OENA'INA POINT ESTATES iN ACCORDANCE MlITH
KMC 14.20.140.
WHEREAS, the Clty of Kenai is preparing certain city-awned lands, known as
Dena'ina Point Estates Subdivision, for disposal, and
WHEREAS, the existing street names as established on the filed subdivision
plat are difficult to pronounce, and
WHEREAS, the Cauncil desires to change the street names to correspond with
prominent physical or geographical features of the Cook Inlet region, and
WHEREAS, the renaming of streets is to be accomplished by Council res-
olution in accordance with KMC 14.15.140.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE KENAI AOYISORY PLANNING & ZONING
COMMISSION, that the existing street names within Dena'ina Paint Estates
Subdivision be deleted anti replaced by the following:
Kamishak
Turnagain
Tuxedni
Tutka
McArthur
Chigmit
Starichkof
Drift
Harriet
Bachatna
