CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTION NO. 83-122
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
DECLARING THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SURPLUS.
WHEREAS, the following pieces of equipment and materials are no
longer needed by the City of Kenai, and
WHEREAS, the exact date of the auction will depend on the time
needed for advertising. City Administration will then set the
date of auction of an appropriate Saturday, and
WHEREAS, a public outcry auction is a reasonable and acceptable
means of disposal, and
WHEREAS, Sally's Auction Company has been designated to handle
the auction under the terms negotiated by the Administration, and
WHEREAS, the terms of the purchase through this auction are:
1. Bidder must pay 100% immediately for anything under
$100.
2. A minimum of 10% deposit must be paid immediately on
items over $100.
3. Before Title transfer or removal, the item must be 100%
paid for.
4. Items must be removed, at purchaser's expense, from the
City yard by 4:30 p.m. on the Friday following the
auction. The deposit will be forfeited and the item's
ownership will remain with the City if it is not removed
by this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that the following be declared surplus and
available to sell at an outcry public auction.
Section I: City -owned equipment as shown on the
Attachment "A"
Section II: Items recovered by the Police Department and
claimed in accordance with the law

The attached list of items will be sold at a public outcry
auction Saturday, September 17, 1983.
The terms of purchase through this auction are:
1. Bidders must pay 100% immediately for anything under $100.
2. A minimum of 10% deposit must be paid immediately on items
over $100.
3. Before title transfer or removal, the items must be 100% paid
for.
4. Items must be removed, at purchaser's expense, from the City
Yard by 4 p.m. on the Friday following the auction. The
deposit will be forfeited and the item's ownership will
remain with the City if it is not removed by this time.
5. The City does not guarantee the condition or the completeness
of any item. Bidder understands items are sold "as is where
is."
Procedure for auction:
1. All bidders must register and get a bidder's number card.
Getting a number makes our bookwork faster and easier. It
does not obligate you in any way whatsoever.
2. Bid on items by holding up your number card. This identifies
you and obligates you to the price indicated by the
auctioneer.
3. Please make payment at the registration desk immediately
after the auction or sooner.
4. The registration desk will issue you a receipt. A receipt of
100% of the sale will be necessary before any items can be
taken from the City Yard.
5. The successful bidder can complete the transaction and obtain
a title or bill of sale at City Hall by showing receipt paid
in full during normal working hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday
through Friday.

Auctioneer will handle the placing of advertising. The owner will have items, articles, or merchan-
dise in a presentable condition on sale day.
