CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTION NO. 83-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA,
ESTABLISHING AN AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE TO ADVISE THE CITY
COUNCIL ON DEVELOPMENT OF THE KENAI MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a committee to
advise the Council on matters of future airport development
dealing with the lands west of the runway, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires that the committee consist of
individuals with a variety of backgrounds who have interests in
development of the Kenai Municipal Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENAI, ALASKA, that:
Section 1: There is hereby created an Advisory Airport
Development Committee, which shall consist of no more than
seven nor less than five members appointed by the Mayor of
the City of Kenai. One appointee shall be designated by the
Mayor as Chairman. The Committee shall meet at times
designated by the Chairman. The Committee is charged with
the responsibility of advising the City Council on matters
of airport development.
Section 2: The Mayor shall appoint to the Committee, to
the extent practicable, individuals with the following
backgrounds or interests:
Fixed Base Aircraft Operators
Private Pilots
FAA Representatives
Members of City Council
Members of Advisory Planning and Zoning Commission
Engineers
Section 3: The Committee shall continue to exist until
either a) the Mayor elects to terminate its existence, or
(b) the City Council terminates the Committee by motion, or
(c) January 1, 1985; whichever occurs first.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA this 16th day
