CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTION N0. 78-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF
BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF A VAN FOR THE CITY'S SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Kenai Senior Citizen Program is in need of an additional van to
~ provide transportation services to its senior citizens, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Kenai has appropriated $8,134 of State of
Alaska T itle III funds to purchase a twelve passenger van for this program, and
WHEREAS, the following four bids have been received:
(1) Hutchings Chevrolet 1978 Chevrolet Sport Van $6,803.97
(2) Anchorage Chrysler
Center 1978 Dodge Sportsman Van $7,577.68
(3) Alaska Sales and
Service 1978 Chevrolet Sport Van $1,021.19
(4) Peninsula Ford, Inc. 1978 Ford Club Wagon $7,265.67 ~ -~
and all bids meet specifications proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Kenai, Alaska, to
purchase from Hutchings Chevrolet, Inc., the lowest bidder, a 1978 Chevrolet
twelve passenger Sport Van with accessories as stated in their bid of February 13,
1978 in an amount not to exceed $6,803.97.
PASSED by the Council of the City of Kenai, Alaska, this 1st day of March, 1978.
