RESOLUTION NO. 77-30

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, PROV®ING
FORA "MEAL ON WHEELS" ADD[TION TO THE SENIOR CITIZEN NUTRITIONAL
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS. the Sr. Citizen Nutritional Program, as initiated, is only able to
provide meals for those who can physically attend, and
WHEREAS, there are those Senior Citizens who are housebound, therefore,
unintentionally barred from participating, and
WHEREAS . while the program , as envisioned , did not provide fora "Meal on
Wheels" program, however, there are funds available to meet the extra costs
of such a program .
NOW . THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Kenai, Alaska ,
that a "Meal on Wheels" program is hereby approved for implementation .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract with the Church of Jesus Christ,
Latter Day Saints/Renal Branch. be amended to provide for such service as
per schedule attached and incorporated herein by reference.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 16th day of
March, 1977.

Delivery program on the following contract basis:
1 through 4 meals $12.00 per day
5 through 8 meals 18.00 per day
9 through 12 meals 24.00 per day
13 through 16 meals 30.00 per day

Councilmen;
We are now equipped ar~d prepared for delivery of Nt,tritioll meals
to the eligible Senior Citizens. In as much as this is a part of the
Title VII grant, it is necessary that we initiate this program
immediately. Therefore, we would appreciate you consent to begin
delivery of meals on or before March 21, 1,977.
